Notes

Spare tire made from scrap yarn, 100% acrylic.

Inspired by Mandala Madness. I followed the pattern exactly until I finished the green bits, then improvised the blues and purples to a round-ish shape until I reached the appropriate diameter for the tire.

We will be purchasing bigger tires for this vehicle in the near future, so I made it a bit larger than necessary.

I finished the cover wrap with black yarn in a standard k2p2 knit stitch, picking up stitches all the way around. There were 400 stitches when I got to this point. It took me 2.5 skeins of Impeccable yarn for this part.

The cover is held on with standard paracord weaved through eyelets I knitted a couple rows before binding off. The paracord is cinched with a double barrel cord lock. I created the eyelets using a yo, k2tog, p2 repeat all the way around, then returning to k2p2 on the next row.
