I fell in love with Louisa Harding’s Cameo shawl the moment I saw it on the cover of Pretty Knits!

I have been wanting to knit this beautiful shawl for a very long time. I feel quite lucky with the yarn colors I was able to put together for my version (discontinued colors). I then stashed the yarns for this project.

January 2011: This is my all time most favorite knitting project! I know it is going to be my prettiest knit!

I am obsessed with this beautitul project. I can’t wait to knit a beret, gloves and a purse to wear with it. (Thank goodness I am such a Louisa Harding yarn stasher and have plenty of yarns!)

My ensemble, in my opinion, is quite Jane Austen-ish. I knit it to wear to afternoon tea at the Pump Room in Bath, England, May 16, 2011.

I also knit proper gloves and a beret for Afternoon Tea to match.

Spray/damp blocked. Blocking added about 4” to it’s width. Purchased silver tone European vintage-style buttons.

I love the shoulder shaping design, it fits really nicely with this shaping.
