I chose to use the Zig-Zag Blanket Border from Nuts about Squares, instead of the border of the original pattern, as I think it fits perfectly with Persian Tiles.

Modifications to the border:

I crocheted through both loops at round 7, since I wanted the zig-zag to stand out on its own without the horizontal line that would have been visible when crocheting only through the back loop.

I added a round in crab stitch after round 10.
