Another headband, using up remainder yarn. These are great for weather that’s too warm for a hat and not warm enough for a bare head or sun hat. Dragonfiles are my favorite insect/animal. Their colors and maneuverability are endlessly fascinating.
I experimented with blocking this one, using a bowl that tapered. While the headband stretches to the same width on both ends, the end I let lie around the curved base rather than stretching to the circumference of the bowl, rests at a narrower width and snugs well against the top of my head very nicely.
An unintended change to the pattern: k2 p2 ribbing at the CO edge; at the BO, k1 p1 rib as per pattern. Color choices were intentional and strayed greatly from the pattern.
Rnd 4 of the chart has a very long float. My yarns’ contrasting colors made me nervous about grabbing the float so I instead elected to tack it down after the knitting was complete. Others more experienced with stranded knitting could probably tack it while knitting without it showing on the RS.
