This is a fun pattern & easy to memorize. After knitting 75% of the hat, I ran out of yarn. The label, which I thought noted 250 yds, had been corrected to 150 yds. So I frogged back to the ribbing & took that down to 5 instead of 10cm. It fits okay but would be much better with more height/rolled band. Sigh. I had to use the swatch & only had about a yard left. Having purchased the yarn while on vacation in West Yellowstone in Sept of 2018, there wasn’t a chance I could return to the shop & get another skein.

Modifications:

• Used twisted German CO instead of tubular (which for me is too fussy & sometimes stretches)
• Worked chart 1 twice, skipped the extra 6 rounds, then worked the dec charts, adjusting the small cables accordingly.
