I have never ever come this close to running out of yarn on a project. Just scraps left of the red & very tiny remnants of the other two colors - phew! Although I made the sleeves a little longer (.5”) the other measurements are very close to pattern, allowing for about 3% shrinkage after machine wash & dry.
I’m still not sure I like the purl bump color transitions but after working most of the back with stripes with clean-line stripes, I tinked the work & went with the pattern as written…the bi-color purls give the texture a caterpillar effect at the color changes.

Modifications:

• kept all selvedges & St st
• began the front ribbing with p1, p1, k1 so the side seams maintain st pattern
• seamed both shoulders then picked up 88 sts for the neckline ribbing, knit in the round.
• worked sleeve inc 2 sts from selvedges

Finished measurements:

• Chest circ 29”
• UA to hem 13.5”
• UA to cuff 14.5”
• Length 19”
