Started this jumper at the end of 2018 and it’s ended up hibernating several times. Each row, especially the cable rows, seems to take forever. I think it takes a little too much attention to be comfortable to knit while watching TV but it’s a bit too simple to be interesting. It’s very easy to get bored or feel like you aren’t getting anywhere.

I finished the body up to the top of the front section in spring 2020 but realised I’d done the cables too tight and it didn’t fit properly, so I had to frog back to just before the cables! It was so demoralising that it hibernated for a bit longer. Determined to finally get it finished now! I’ve just finished the front and started the back. I’ve ignored the instructions to skip rows as it makes no sense to me - the cable pattern is different there. Separation row was row 9, so started back on WS with row 10. Continuing for 44 rows to row 14.

Finally finished! The yarn’s itchier than I expected and I’m a bit scared I’ll accidentally felt it when I wash it, but I’m so relieved that it’s finished.

I did 10 extra rows on the sleeves as I’m tall and my arms are quite long. I knitted the sleeves in the round (just cast on 2 fewer stitches for each) and two at a time so I wouldn’t have to do all that seaming.
