We did this as a shawl-along at the shop. It’s not what I’d call a social knit: even experienced lace knitters need to pay attention, though the lace pattern isn’t hard to follow once you figure out the … well, pattern. The new lace knitters struggled but persevered and were glad they’d put in the effort. Lifelines are your friend!
