Notes

Let me start off by saying I absolutely LOVE this sweater. So much so I’ve already bought yarn for my second one and I plan on starting it immediately.

That said, I knit and reknit parts of this sweater so many time I could have three different ones right now. This was in no way the fault of the pattern. I chose the combination yolk version and I have to say it might be the best fitting shoulder/arm I’ve ever knit. There are a lot of different things going on simultaneously but Rililie gives you line by line instructions and it’s all quite clear and ingenious.

My problem was that I basically had to rework the pattern to reflect both stitch gauge and row gauge. Took me three tries and many spreadsheets to get it right! But I did!! Then I screwed up the sleeves and the bottom short rows and probably some more stuff I’m forgetting. The important thing is that sweater fits great and I LOVE wearing it.

I was worried it was too long but by that point it was done and while I briefly considered ripping it out and reworking the bottom, cooler heads prevailed and many many friends told me to leave it. Honestly, I’m glad I did.

I may shorten v 2.0 by spreading out the short rows before the hem section even more than I did the first time. Or maybe I won’t. We’ll see.

GO! Knit this sweater!
