UPDATE: Won 1st place (Blue Ribbon) at the County Fair with Judge’s note: for the little details. Duh!

Early photos show first attempt at jacket stitch pattern and yarn but not happy with the color and size. Decided to try a different stitch pattern as well. Also change teapots to build upon. Both jacket and blouse need to be larger to fit comfortably over the teapot without struggling.

Swatched 15 times more … multiple stitch patterns & yarn combos. Finally settled on Royal Quilting Stitch for a very good couture-quilt look.

Got really sick of looking at the navy/red/beige colorway and decided to go with white/beige/black and a touch of pink for a super-iconic look mixed with the gold chain and pearls.

FINAL YARNS & STITCH Patterns settled on:

Lining (“Blouse”) Stockinette Stitch
Black Patons La Laine Superwash Merino for lining

Outside Layer (“Jacket”) Royal Quilting Stitch
Berocco Ultra Silk (White)
2 strands Brunswick La Laine Boucle (Off-white)
(these 3 held together) for MC yarn PLUS
Sunray Velveen (Black/White tweed) for CC color

Collar facing - used vintage pink satin bow (deconstructed) and turned it inside out for the matte side to show. In future, try using 1-1/2” wide grosgrain ribbon.

Substituting Cotton Ribbon for the Ultra Silk works just as well.
