Black yarn + white roving + red heart shaped beads.

Ultimately felted red roving to the inside over the white thrums to cover them completely so that the inside of the cozy matched the teapot color (last photos of finished inside/turned out).

Top knob is a ball of white roving with red roving felted on top of that and added a black speck to the top of knob via felting.

To the upper cozy, where it there were the increase rows, (it was solid black) I added felted balls of roving at the end, in order to integrate the top and bottom halves better. Added row of red heart beads to fill space between the white balls and white “hearts” on one side of cozy only. I was so distracted, knitting this, that the 2 sides came out differently.

Working on re-writing pattern correctly. Will make another sample.
