Notes

Can’t stop starting sweaters!

The second I saw this sweater I loved it and knew I had to knit it.

This was a fun knit. The pattern is easy to memorize, and it made for fairly mindless knitting. I found the sizing in the pattern a bit off, so kind of fudged it as I went along. I had some trouble with the short rows (looked messy), so ended up doing Japanese short rows. I also made the turning point in the purl stitch before the 2 knit stitches (this will make more sense if you start knitting the pattern), and I thought it looked much better. I did a provisional cast-on and then grafted the 2 ends of the “hem” together. Not the neatest Kitchener stitch by a long shot, but probably (maybe?) better than just backstitching it.

I’m not sure yet if I’m happy with this. I’m not quite sure if the fit is good, it gets kind of bunchy as I wear it (I had to take these pics a couple of times to make the sweater lie smoothly). It may be a bit big. Oh well, it’s done! Gonna go with it. :)

Using a shawl pin to close.

Colour is most accurate in the last picture (ball of yarn).
