A simple, straightforward scarf, but the colour changes make it look interesting. I was initially going to knit it with 2 balls of Chroma (Roller Skate and Regency), but decided to go for a solid dark grey as one of the colourways instead.

This scarf was easy and mindless, but after a few feet of 1x1 rib, I was ready for it to end! I was thinking…what if I had knit it in stockinette in the round, and then ended up with a flat tube? It would look similar and still be squishy, but I could avoid the purling/ribbing. Oh well, maybe if I knit another one someday!

I really liked the Abuelita yarn, but the Chroma drove me a bit nuts with the thick-and-thin. It got so thin in places it was more like sport weight or even fingering! Luckily it didn’t matter too much for this pattern, but was still annoying. Both yarns got kind of fuzzy as I was knitting, which I guess can’t be avoided with soft single-ply yarns.

I cast on 46 st, and did a mod similar to many people where I slipped the last stitch of each row purlwise, and then knit into the back of the first stitch on each row. Gives it a nice, pretty edge.
