I had “Ewden” in my favorites for a couple of years and decided to finally knit it. I could not purchase the pattern and I looked for the Rowan book called Winter Scapes. My local yarn shop is ordering it so I should have it soon.
After reading project notes, several ravelers have mentioned that the sleeves are too wide, and that it is knit bottom up in four pieces. I wanted to knit it top down and in the round. My yarn is also worsted weight instead of the called for dk. So I did a swatch, looked at the Ewden pictures. I will try my best to replicate it.
My yarn is from Siberia. My friend Lana brought it back from Russia for me at the end of summer. It is wool and yak, and a little scratchy, but probably very warm. I cannot wait to wear it!

Finally getting back to this. I stopped increasing when the front and back were each 93 stitches across. I plan on taking off the sleeve stitches an work down the body.

My local yarn store was never able to get this pattern book from the Rowan rep even though he ordered it about a year ago. Presently, I am working down the second sleeve (in the round), and then finish the neck.
