I have a basic hat pattern. Cast on 88 stitches on a US#7 needle. I did 1-3/4” 2x2 rib. I knit up from 3” and then started the rainbow. I used yarn from my son’s cardigan (Studio Donegal worsted weight). Knit up 7” and then started crown decreasing.

My husband liked our son’s cardigan so much he wanted a smaller version in a hat.

Our house hold just loves rainbows!
