Notes

Inspired by boys’ vests from the early to mid-20th Century, I decided to make one for my son.

He brought up “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe“, since it is a favorite book of his. So, I decided to chart it and knit it. I am really happy with how it is turning out.

Originally, my gauge was 8 stitches per inch, but somehow knitting it, it has become more like 9 stitches per inch. Fortunately, my son is slim, so it will fit.

I plan to go up a needle size when I knit it again to see if I can get 8 st. per inch and publish the chart/pattern.

The fair isle part is finished! Now I need to finish off the neck and armholes.

With the smaller needle, I picked up and knit 161 stitches for the V neck, and arm holes were 116 stitches each.
