Notes

I followed all the recommended mods regarding the stitch count and neckline and such.

I also wanted to make this longer, because it will be used only once, as a Blessing Gown for my niece, Penelope. In order to make sure I used used up every last bit of yarn, thereby making it as long as possible, I knit the skirt according to the pattern through the entire first skein (12 in). Then, using the second skein, I provisionally cast on 111 stitches for the bodice, and knit it completely. With what was left of the second skein I continued knitting the skirt until I was almost out of yarn (10 in more - 22 in total). On the last row I decreased the skirt to 111 stitches, and then, using kitchener stitch, I joined the skirt to the bodice. I just had to make sure that the YO lines matched up with the bodice, but that was easy. It turned out perfect! After blocking the entire dress is about 34” from the shoulder to the hem, and will be absolutely perfect.
