Loved this amigurumi when I first saw it on Ravelry and decided to make one for a friend’s new grandchild. Chose a neutral colour as I didn’t know if it would be a boy or girl. I found it helpful to follow an online tutorial as I was assembling the toy because the notes in the pattern are not very detailed and getting the features to look good is difficult. Completed the project this evening - not bad timing as Ava Emily is just a week old!. Shall take the finished toy to knitting group on Tuesday and they will hopefully choose a suitable name for the new cat.
Since my first attempt in aran weight yarn the amineko cats have been so popular that I have made four more - two in 4ply yarn (not pictured) and two in DK. Who knows how many more might appear by Christmas time!
