“I gave to pink, the nerve of the red, a neon pink, an unreal pink.”
Elsa Schiaparelli
A little lacy cardi. As close to shocking pink as I could do.
Converting this to seamed.

Converting this to seamed was not difficult, since the pattern is written bottom up. The sleeves took a little thought, as written they are picked up at the armhole and knit down in the round.
I took the final cuff numbers and used them as my cast on. I worked my increases every 8th row until I hit my maximum stitches and then worked full length, just like any standard flat sleeve. I then followed the bind off rate per the back, using fully fashioned decreases. Worked the final shaped top per a standard stockinette sweater of the same gauge.

I kind of dropped the ball on this project! I think because of the color and the lace, I visualize this as or more for spring and we’re heading into fall… Nevertheless, I pushed through the stockinette and finished the second sleeve. I was actually quite excited to put it all up on the dress form. And once on the form, I noticed a HOLE in the back. About 50 rows down! And not a hole because I missed a stitch. A moth worn hole. I have NEVER had that happen before. I spent about 15 minutes trying to see if I could fix it with duplicate stitch and gave up. So I ripped back to the row before the damage put it back on the needles, rewound the rest of the hank and found more damage. Ugh!
I’ve reknit most of it, and should probably finish it tonight. I just hope I have enough now to do the front and the button bands. Sigh…

Pulling this out of hibernation. I’ve been craving a hot pink sweater and remembered this was almost finished. Seeing as the sweater and I are now both the same size, I think it’s time to finish it!

substituted double knit button bands. Knit on 2.25mm needles and sewn on afterwards.
