I have been obsessed with turning this hat into a sweater since the pattern dropped. The thought of knitting fingering weight, navy, stockinette, yoked sweater, in the round, for most of the knitting was the only thing stopping me from casting on. And then I had that eureka moment: I could knit it on my machine. From there I went to pre-swatch to real swatch to pattern writing to casting on in a just a few days.

Ribbing by hand on 3.0mm needles.

I think I’m going to have to rip the back down to a few rows before the neckline BO to shorten the shoulders. Will probably reknit the shoulders by hand since I can get the same gauge with a 3.5mm needle.

On hold…

So I ran short on yarn. Ordered two more hanks of Midnight. Not the same lot, but that's ok. Will rip back the upper portion of the back and then do the front and back with the same (new) lot. With all the stripes in between, it shouldn't be too noticeable.

I decided to play yarn chicken and won!
