I made this because all of my other slouchy hats are pretty loose and fit well enough when I have a lot of hair, but when I have short hair they look more like chemo hats.

I stopped about an inch short of where it said to before doing the crown decreases, but I think next time I make this pattern I’d stop quite a bit shorter so it isn’t so slouchy. This still used up almost the whole skein, probably ‘cause I’m a loose knitter and I didn’t bother with gauge. gasp

(I mentioned this to my husband, that I’d made it a bit longer than I really wanted, and his response was “well, your hair will grow into it.” Yes, well…quite.)

Super squishy though and a great marriage of pattern and yarn. I really especially love how the band fits on this and perfectly warms my ears. My coffee guy said “this looks very Brooklyn” and….well, yes, but I was knitting before I got here. I guess this is my very first official fall knitwear. :)
