Notes

I’ve modified the panel layout a bit. That is to say, I chose a sequence of colors appriate for a girl’s baby blanket. The seed stitching makes if drape very well and it is quite soft.

The hexagon panels were constructed in such a way that the overall blanket is rectangular with a chamfered corner. I had to figure out the proper pattern for the fill-in regions so that the hex panels did not distort. Finally, I put a single-stitch crochet border around the entire blanket.

The single-stitch crocet border was such a good decision. It is very tight yet quite thin. It really adds a touch of quality both in look and feel. Definitely adds a lot of strength to the edge.
