I made a few adaptations. The teal and gray picture and the pattern didn’t quite line up. The pattern has you begin and end the hat with color A, but I actually wanted the hat to end with color B so I worked two single rows of bpdc so that when I worked the foundation row for the brim I was back to color B. Also, I prefer knitted ribbing to crocheted ribbing so I picked up 64 st on sz 10.5 circular needles and worked 7 rows of K1,P1 ribbing. Then I cast off 34 and worked a short bit of brim back and forth, decreasing at both ends each row for 4 more rows (my Girlie likes a bit of flat brim to come down near her eyes)
