Really ended up using bits and pieces of each pattern. I didn’t think the frugal house one was very well written, very skimpy on details and hard to follow but did use the general idea and the antennae from it. Started with the body from the free pattern and sort of morphed as I got toward the head.

I started at the base using jmco, worked up, decreased for neck, increased for head. Put a cinching cord inside the neck to tighten it up later. Used 9 mm eyes. Made 6 legs instead of 4. Stuffed the bottom ones a little firmly to try to aid in standing.

Wings were seed stitch like the free pattern but instead of making two, made one, picked up stitches and worked the other one going the other direction.

Will probably make again as I have a number of additional modifications I still want to make, maybe even write it up into a pattern at some point.

Made as a special request so in kind of a hurry to get it done.

Size was about 9.5” from top of head to bottom.
