Notes

Corks I ordered on etsy were 1.5” long so cut them in half to 3/4” which was about perfect.

I worked these in the round. I cast on 26 sts, joined in the round and worked for 5 rounds, then decreased to 22 sts for robe. This gave a nice curl at the bottom.

For the neck, I threaded a piece of scrap white yarn thru the purl bumps on the inside so I could cinch it later.

For the face I did a couple short rows to make the face a little taller in the front (to make the hairline higher). I went directly from the face color into the hair color.

I worked the halo in the round, then put it on inside out so the reverse stockinette was facing out.

For the wings, I worked flat. Cast on 15 and on the right side did a slip-1 in the middle (purl it on the wrong side) to make a ridge down the middle. Worked for 10 rows.

Just an adorable little pattern.
