Notes

This was an evolving pig. They were done in order from left to right in the picture of all three.

I worked the head in the round. First head (solid pink) started with 8 sts and jmco, second head (pink & black) started with emily ocker’s magic cast on. Third head (pink & pink) I went back to jmco but started with 4 stitches, liked it best. On final head I also added an extra round before the purl rounds.

Ears for all started with jmco. On last one I omitted one of the 21 stitch rounds to make it just a little shorter, liked it better.

Bodies

All worked in the round from neck to bottom. Left cast on end open. When done (after arms and legs were completed - see below), stuffed, caught each cast on stitch and gently cinched. Added last bits of stuffing and secured so hole was almost completely closed.

The first one (solid color) I thought was too skinny and the neck was too small. Plus I got the head on crooked. I tried amputating and re-attaching but accidentally cut some stitches so had to try for repairs AND re-attaching. He looked pretty pathetic by the end.

I almost completely reworked the bodies for 2 and 3. I wanted a bigger neck, so started with 26 sts. Reworked increases and decreases to try to stay under the arms as much as possible. I also made them fatter and longer than original pattern.

When done with the body, I picked up stitches for the legs and arms and worked them. THEN I stuffed and closed the body. I marked in my pattern where to thread waste yarn for both the legs and arms which made it super easy to pick up the stitches and to know that they were even.

Arms and legs redone to work in the round from body to end, also tried to position increases and decreases on bottom of arm or leg as much as possible.
