Reworked pattern to do body and head in the round. Started with jmco. For the body, I left a long tail at cast on to do any sewing down of bobbles necessary. At the top of the body, I did an extra round of 11 stitches, cut, thread thru stitches, stuffed and cinched almost closed and then secured. Also left a nice long tail to use for sewing on the head. Safety eyes used were 6 mm.

For arm and leg bobbles, on the round after I made them, I worked the stitch before the bobble, the bobble stitch, and the one after the bobble thru the back loop. This helped tighten the bobbles up.

For the ears on the otter, squirrel, and hedgehog I reworked them. I did one otter using the ears per pattern, but mine were barely visible at all. So redid to do a small bobble (just did a kfb and bobbled from that). Seemed to work out fine.

For the mouse ears, if you use the cast on tail to thread thru the stitches and then tighten it, the ear bends inward and is easier to sew on. I reworked the fox ears on my second one to be in the round, they stand up a little better.

For the hedgehog prickles I did one using worsted yarn but I thought it was way too bulky so redid using 2 strands of light weight yarn, but then should have made it a little wider and a little longer. Reworked that on the second one.

For the hare tail I just made a little ball. For the mouse tail I just picked up stitches and did a 3 stitch icord. On my second otter, I made the tail just a little smaller around.

The little gray mouse was done using light weight yarn and it was so tiny and adorable.

3 pennies in the base seems to be about right to help them stand up, thanks to other project posters for the suggestion.
