I ended up frogging this sweater because I realized that I wouldn’t have enough yarn to make what I wanted. My Mother ended up making a beautiful vest and had enough leftover to make another vest with the leftovers from my next sweater.
I am just winging this sweater - that is the beauty of top down sweaters (especially raglan sweaters), they can be tried on and adjusted as you knit.
My gauge is 5.5 stitches per inch.
I cast on 50 stitches, after purling one row I placed markers as follows-
1-m-2-m-6-m-2-m-26-m-2-m-6-m-2-m-1
I chose 2 stitched between raglan increases for decoration.
My increases are - make one right, slip marker, knit 2, slip marker, make one left.
Raglan increases every 2 rows (every right side row until it is joined in the round). The last couple of increase were every 3 rows.
The v-neck increases are every 4 rows, until the last 2 rows before joining in the round, then it was every right side row.
The yarn is so soft.
