Part of my 2025 year of experiments in weaving - I am trying out designing a weaving project using the book “A Handweaver’s Pattern Book” by Marguerite P. Davison (the green one)(downloaded from Anna’s Archive for free - I have the orange reprint book but the pattern is different - smaller and simpler). P166 - Wandering Vine. I modified the draft slightly by adding borders, and changing the treadling.

Using a red 2/8 tencel for the warp and tabby weft, and a brown 2/3 Perle cotton for the pattern weft (leftover from another overshot table runner).

Using the Dixon Selvage again (8 threads total). Also floating selvages (2 threads total).

First time using a pattern tracker that my son 3D printed for me.

Details -

2 yd warp
443 ends (includes 10 for the selvages)
10 dent reed, 2 ends per dent
3 pattern repeats for centre

I am really happy with how this came out. Glad I changed the number of repeats in treadling for certain spots.
