Fourteen and a half yards was just enough to make a button up cowl with my first hand-spun yarn. I cast on nine stitches with size 15 needles.

This truly was instant gratification; I finished the knitting in less than an hour. I just need to weave in the ends, block, and purchase and attach buttons.

6/4/12: Finished! I blocked, wove in the ends, and added three buttons. The stitch is so open, I didn’t need to add button holes. It fits well and I like how it looks, but it’s a little itchy, so I’m not sure how much wear it will get. I’m still pretty proud for it being my first hand-spun yarn.
