1/3/16: I bought this yarn in Portland while visiting my sister. I can’t find my size 3s and I like a tight brim, so I’m casting on 80 stitches instead of 100. For the increase row, I will kbf, k3, and that should get me to 121 stitches.

1/6/16: Uh, okay, my math was totally off and I had to do another row of increasing. Got to 121 eventually though. I also already goofed up one of the waffle rows (three rows of knit instead of just two), but I didn’t feel like undoing a few rows. It feels nice to have a quick, small knit to be able to pull out on the train again. I should remind myself to always have one going.

1/17/16: Finished! A few mistakes here and there, but overall I’m very happy with it. It’s very slouchy, and fits very well.
