Wow, more art piece than sock. I’m worried it won’t be wearable. The penultimate RSC backlog sock.

So in my massive hurry to finish these for the 2016 Adjudicated show, I realized partway through embroidering the 2nd sock that,… I’d knit two completely different sizes. 2nd one had fully one less repeat of the pattern on the foot and the leg.

I finished it, resigned myself to submitting with an excuse. Then frantically started knitting a 3rd, same size as the first. 3/4 of the way through, and there was not enough base yarn, so I started unwinding the 2nd and knitting it right on to the 3rd.

Finished the 3rd, CORRECTLY sized sock just in time and was weaving and trimming ends on all the little embroidery bits the night before the adjudication.
