Notes

I loved everything about this sweater.
I fell in love with the yarn and colorway as soon as I saw it, but since I had knitted a lot of blue sweaters at the beginning of the year, I decided to wait a little bit of time before starting this.
The yarn was so round and bouncy that it seemed to call for a lot of texture… I wanted something with a relaxed look, something that I could wear easily… And I also wanted pockets. I realised I love my pockets. I never know what to do with my hands anyway. LOL!

The body is worked in one piece from the top down. All the texture happens at the same time, with no interruptions and no side seams (I love this feature, side seams look funny with an open-front sweater on me).
The collar and the stockinette part of the fronts are knit sideways in one piece. I worked a series of tuck stitches in the back to create the “ruched” look. Love that!

The sleeves were worked after the whole sweate was finished. For me, this one has a beachy look, so I went with 3/4 sleeves… Though they could be done at any length since they are worked seamlessly from the top down.

We went to the beach and used the excuse to take some pictures at the Harbour, by the sea… For those who haven’t seen my boys in a while, they are big!
