Notes

Cast on 31, using crochet cast-on, for slip stitch edging. Using a seed stitch borders, instead of garter stitch (six on either end, and 19 pattern stitches - most sections require an increase to 20, then decrease before switching back to seed stitch).
I’m changing sections at the color changes, rather than doing a certain number of pattern repeats.
I didn’t like the “Trinity” section, so I replaced it with “The Hazelnut Stitch” section from the “You CAN Do It” scarf.
Decided not to use the “Mock Cables,” so I chose to use the “Celtic Cable,” instead. This requires an increase of five stitches, for a total of 36 (six on either end, and 24 pattern stitches).
Used the instructions from Very Pink Knits on YouTube for the smocking section. I wasn’t happy with the way these instructions tell you to work this design. In addition, you need to decrease your pattern section to 18 stitches to make this work.
I needed one more section, to use up my yarn, so I added the “Hugs and Kisses” section. I’m only using the center of the graph, from number 6 to number 25.
I used the instructions from Vogue Knitting to learn how to knit the pockets on without having to sew them on later.
