I did 8 rows of the double knit edge, then the buttonholes after stitches 8 and 28.

My daughter manages food services at a high school and uses her cowl around her face when she needs to work inside the freezer (photo two), so she asked if I’make another for one of her employees. That would be this one. (Looks like my daughter may need a new one. Hers is looking pretty mangled!)

Last photo with arrows - experimented by doing a made-up afterthought buttonhole¹, slip stitching it around at the end. I like it. Nice and sturdy.
