Notes

What should have been a simple knit, I found this pattern very tricky. After frogging several times and reading other’s notes, I figured out the secret.
TIPS: After the first point, pick up stitches, then START with row 2. This will get you going in the right direction, literally. Also, when picking up stitches, I found it hard to pick up 8 stitches (9 needed total), so most of the time I picked up 7 stitches, leaving 8 on my needle. Then, since I started with row 2, I did the M1, but didn’t do the K2TOG, leaving 9 stitches on my needle. I did this only with the picked up row. After that I followed the pattern. And, I found it necessary to keep a marker on the RS. It is important to keep up with RS and WS and I couldn’t tell the difference by looking at it.
I hope these notes keep you from many froggings.
