Modified version of desert boot…
Used a terrible yarn from my cheap stash..Knitted with the yard double and size UK 9 needles.
Very fast knit.. Both finished within 1.5 hours.
Cast on 46 sts
Knit 12 rows garter stitch
K20 K2tog K2 s1 ssk K20
P19 ssp P2 P2tog
Continue decrease rows until 24 sts..
Wrong side facing knit 12 rows
Cast off loosely
I left the top band open at the back as I thought it might be a little tight getting on, but with the 12 row band at the top it should sit ok. Next pair I would do a couple more rows before starting the 12 knit rows for the band. I think this would make a better fit it the top band was to stay open at the back.
