Notes

Weaving in Ends There are many color changes and, therefore, MANY ends to weave in.

•Began by weaving in ends as I knit as in this video.

• Woven in ends keep wanting to pop out with this yarn so, where possible, used a braided join. I knit to end of row, pinched yarn where join needed to happen (to mark spot) then unknit a handful of stitches. Where the yarn was pinch is where I wrapped the old yarn over the spare needle to begin braiding.

Other
• Keep careful track of sts, especially in lace section. Or will have to unknit several rows.

My gauge was 20 sts/4” but I was too nervous to go up needle sizes as I kept not getting gauge. I’ll just block to adjust if necessary. I would rather too small than too big with ugly big sts.
Update: I probably could have gone up to US9 needle, because I did not dig into the last skein of Conch or Linen, but it still is just fine as is.

Started this shawl while on Maddie’s first big roadtrip (to Lake Tahoe).
