Using this pattern because it seems easy to remember and a nice texture to conpliment the variegated yarn.

My guage is a few sts bigger than pattern guage, but after doing math for my mom’s foot and ankle circumference, decided to stick with 2.25mm as in pattern.

Heel Flap/Gussett
Picked up 18 sts on each gusset(an extra 2 sts to fill hole, instead of 1). Dec two sts (2 k2tog following pickip round).

Foot
Placing st markers by day to track my daily progress.

K 8” before starting toe decreases. Estimated toe decrease length to be 1.6” but might have been closer to 1.75”. Still had good length for foot, not too long at least.

Gifting on Xmas Day
Mom LOVED the colors and they fit perfectly. So if making more socks, make them like this again.
