Notes

Heel Flap:
• Pattern says to knit 32, PM, then start heel flap on next 32 sts. However, the Small size has a CO of 56 sts, and 32 + 32 = 64 sts, which is the CO for Medium size.
• Knit the heel flap over 28 sts.

Heel Turn:
• Since I knit my heel over 28 sts, heel turn was knit as follows:
Row 1: K across 1 sts, ssk, k1, turn.
Row 2: Sl 1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn.
Row 3: Sl 1, k to 1 st before gap, ssk (1 st from each side of gap), k1, turn.
Row 4: Sl 1, p to 1 st before gap, p2tog (1 st from each side of gap), p1, turn.

Rep rows 3 and 4 until you have worked all heel sts, ending if necessary on the last rep with k2tog and p2tog. 16 sts remain.

4/17/18 Waiting for my new Knit Picks circular needles to arrive!

4/20/18 Took many attempts to get the cast on right because this is the first time that I am attempting to knit two socks simultaneously on one 40” circular (Knit Picks “majestic”). Tried to start a tubular cast in but ended up settling for a loose long tail cast on.

4/26/18 Puzzling out the heel flap. Just realized that the design does not “reflect” on each sock as it looks in the sample photo. But there are no directions for a reflected pattern. Am I missing something?

5/2/18 Socks are currently blocking on drying rack. Will post better pictures once dry.

5/3/18 Dry, done, and photographed properly!
