Lace: dyed KnitPick Gloss myself using Rit dark charcoal dye, but it turned out brown

Provisional CO 112sts
K for 19cm before turning inside out

TURN INSIDE OUT
Did a sort of wrap and turn, but without the turn. I sort of made something up on the spot because I was too lazy to look it up while watching Mulan. What I did worked well enough.

BODY OF HAT
K stockinette for 15 1/4cm

DECREASES
Knit as written in pattern.

FOLDING & SECURING BRIM
• Unzipped provisional cast on onto needle.
• Picked up a row of purl bumps just below the transition from brim to main hat.
• I didn’t leave a long enough tail when originally doing my provisional cast on, so I did a braided join to the tail.
• three needle bind off

If I make this again, I would not do three needle bind-off as you could see a line of tension at the point. I would maybe try to knit the provisional CO to the live needles mid-project and continue the rest of the hat. OR see as the pattern started, but I don’t love sewing & seaming.
