With Shelter on US7, my 40 sts made a garter fabric 8” wide. I worked garter for 4.5” before switching to stockinette, increased at each edge for a selvage stitch and continued working flat until 8”, worked the decreases as written, then cinched and seamed them up the front and heel. Super quick and cute.

These were mainly for a photo but I love them, so next time I’ll use a more rugged yarn, knit at a tighter gauge, shorten up the garter section a bit, and make them narrower through the foot. They’re just a little loose in every way.
