i used the usual pattern (Christine’s Stay On Booties) OSFA (one size fits all) for the yellow cashmere booties (recycled from sweater). I did modify it for a nice rectangular bottom with a stitch line (half of a V stitch) on the two long sides. Another modification is the way that I bind off. I used two knitting needles side by side to get the looseness that I needed.
After I finished the yellow booties, I prepared to knit the blue booties. First, I viewed Therese Inverso’s YouTube video called Stay-On Baby Booties by IrishHouseProductions. The video was inspiring and amazing. In the description was a link to printable directions. That link is:

FOR THE BLUE BOOTIES I used some advice from Therese Inverso (1) I knitted the ridges before the instep from the inside so that there were more knit rows than purl rows, and (2) I did the V along the two long sides of the rectangle bottom/sole.
The blue yarn was SIX plied Jagger Spun 50% Wool and 50% Silk blueberry yarn. I bought this yarn at Goodwill (?) and it was on a cone. The yarn was very thin before plying. The blueberry booties weigh 2.3 oz when finished.
The last two photographs are to show the difference between (my modification) picking up the side (sole) stitches on Christine’s Stay on Booties and the V that results with Therese Inverso’s pattern. In other words, my modification had only one side of the V.
It took me a (ittle over a) month to knit the two pairs of booties.
I used size 1 needles for the yellow booties and size 3 needles for the blueberry booties.
I think these booties are the 3946th project.
