Cast on 101 sts. When I knitted the end of the first round, I connected the circle by passing over the last stitch with the first stitch. This circle will never unravel.

The beginning orange is 13 rows.
Black 39 rows before decreasing started.

The cuff doesn’t have much to it, so I would add another 27 rows of orange. (Use Watchcap as an example.)

Black-gray yarn from LLBean Irish knit sweater that I unraveled. Orange yarn is from 100% wool orange sweater from Milford church sale.

This hat is not very thick/warm. I want to make a thicker one the next time.
