I made the hat in rows, not as a continuous round.

Made more rows so it would be slouchy and added rows to brim and ran black double elastic thread through edge of brim. I made hat with a 5 loop puff to make it less bulky.

Row 1: 6 puffs. Row 2: 12. Row 3: 18. Row 4: 24. Row 5: 30. Row 6 - 9: 36 puffs. Row 10 - 11: 39. Row 12 - 17: 42 puffs.
