Notes

I thought I had perfect gauge with swatching, but my working row gauge was out by 2 rows.

I wanted a longer rib, so that, combined with the difference in row gauge and my short body, meant that I had to cut a fair bit from the bottom of the body pattern as shown in Isabell’s original sample (with the doubled ribbings).

I finished with 6 rounds of plain st st after pattern row 30, then made the rib 2”. I decided against the doubled ribbings as they would’ve been too thick and bulky at this length.

For the sleeves, I did the same 6 rounds of st st immediately before the rib.

I chose the smaller neck option.

I made a size 1 for the body/shoulder width, but followed size 2 for the yoke depth and sleeves. This pattern is so easy to customise for fit.
Because my row gauge was out, I made the sleeve decreases every 12th round (rather than every 13th round).

Body weighs 261g
Finished weight, 378g

Size blocking is:
Bust 41”
Length from top of shoulder (next to the neck ribbing) to hem, 24”
Inside sleeve, 19”

Although the pattern states size 1 as a finished bust of 42.5”, there are 2 sets of decreases right after joining the front/back, which lose a total of 8 sts.
So, the finished body size is closer to 41” after taking those into consideration.
It’s worth noting that when choosing which size to make…

I totally love this pattern, and am now thinking of making one for Trevor. I think he would’ve pinched it if it had been his size, he was eyeing it up as I was knitting it.
For a men’s version, I would make the armhole depth longer, and therefore the sleeves wider. The sleeves on this pattern are snug but not tight, (which I love with the dropped shoulders).

Definitely seeing more Misheels in my future…and did I say how quick it is to knit? 6 days, start to finish!
