03.04.11 - All done and photographed! The heels are kind of awful, but I’m happy with these socks, they’re pretty good for a first full pair! Love the Claudia yarn, will probably pass on the Jawoll in the future though.

11.29.10 Picking the sock back up after an extended break.. oops. Turning the heel now! Will also be redoing the cuff on the first sock when I finish the second for a better bind off, I’d like to actually wear these socks.

08.19.10: Finished the first sock! Yeah, next time bigger needles or 8-10 stitches more FOR SURE. And a stretchier bind off. Still, not bad for a first toe-up sock. Casting the second on on now, because if I don’t, the second will never get made.

08.19.10: Turned the heel on the first sock..had to rip and redo it like, 4 times. It’s pretty alright now, but there’s a small hole where I rejoined for the pattern.. I think I twisted a stitch.

Also notice that they stretch quite a bit around the ankle.. I think next time I’ll use either slightly larger needles, or add 4-6 stitches, the sock is rather snug.

08.15.10: Decided this morning that I didn’t love the red. Ripped and restarted with a white yarn for the contrast instead.

08.14.10: Easy stranded color work pattern. There’s not as much contrast as I expected there to be.. the red isn’t as bright as it looked alone. Ah well.
