Notes

My first bottom up seamed sweater!
I was saving this mechita yarn for over a year, trying to find the perfect project for it, admiring its softness and depth of color. Well, it might be very soft and the colors are deep and vivid, but it pills so much I don’t think I am making another sweater out of this yarn.
The pattern is very well written, I learned so many new techniques and I must say that seaming was not that hard after all (too many ends to weave in though!). The problem was that my gauge was a little bit off and I thought I could redo some math and make a sweater that fits. Well, not with my poor experience. The shoulders fit perfectly, I like the neckline very much, but it needs at least 10 more cm length for the sleeves and the body. So, instead of a cropped look I ended up with a simply small sweater.
I think I am going back to top down for a while! Although I will definitely make another breton, when I have the right yarn for it…
