Wanted to try this yarn and saw this pattern -- Sue has a linen scarf I made her that she says is her fave. This one is linen AND cashmere; will be even more favorite! Sue’s B’day is Feb something (20?)

12/27/2019 This yarn is fantastically splitty. I think it will be lovely once it’s done and blocked but there are going to be split stitches that don’t get caught so I hope no one is looking too closely. There’s a quote about not being noticeable from the back of a running horse or something…

In the end I liked the yarn and the project with a couple of changes I would make next time. One problem, the first section I did, which spent the rest of the knitting hanging down and lying in my lap, is noticeably softer and larger (stretched) than the other end. Which I am sure will disappear after it’s blocked and then worn for awhile. I really like the combination of linen and cashmere, but I’d like it better if it was more tightly spun and less splitty. However if it were then it would be less soft and drapy so, tradeoffs as usual. I’m sure SIL Sue is going to like it though.
