The leg is 8 1/2” long and now I’m thinking the fabric is too loose, so I’m going to change to a 2.5 mm needle for the foot.

I worked about 7” more on the 2.5 mm needles, then worked the toes, decreasing down to 20 stitches. The toes measure 1 3/4”, so I’m cutting in the heels at 6 3/4”.

Another pair of warm socks! The legs are nice and long, about mid-calf length, so the looser gauge at the top is fine. I don’t like the long-tail cast-on at the cuff; I don’t think it’s stretchy enough.

When I washed these socks to block them the Knitologie yarn bled, so the white stripes are pale blue now. I don’t mind the way that looks.

I really like the Hawthorne yarn, it’s thick and squishy and just slightly tonal. I’d love to make another pair of socks in just that.

Even though these socks are really long, (about 4” longer than my sock blockers) they didn’t use much yarn. I was hoping they’d get me closer to my Stash Dash goal.
